Computer LabsMain Computer Laboratory, Clayton CampusLocation: Rooms 110 & 111, 1st Floor, Law Building This facility is located on the 1st floor within the law Library. About 30 Pentium IV computers are available to students, all linked into the Monash University network. Network links via the Australian Academic Research Network (AARNet) provide access to E-mail, news and computing services, not only throughout Australia but also to sites around the world. The first floor lab is normally open during library hours, and closes 20 minutes prior to the library closing. Computer Training Laboratory, Clayton CampusLocation: Room 440, 4th Floor, Law building The training laboratory is equipped with 21 Pentium IV computers operating with Windows XP. Although specifically constructed as a formal (class room) teaching facility the machines are made available for student use when not required for classes. (Notices in the main lab will confirm opening hours). Network access and program availability is standard throughout all areas and print facilities are installed in all laboratories. Research Facility, Clayton CampusLocation: adjacent to the Main Lab, Room 109, Law Building This area with nine Pentium IV machines is reserved for use by students doing research only. All machines in this area are network connected and have access to the normal range of supported software. Graduate Computer Laboratory, Clayton CampusLocation: Room 208, 2nd Floor, Law building This area with 4 machines is reserved for exclusive use by graduate students. Access is by way of ID Cards given sufficient security clearance. All machines in this area are network connected and have access to the normal range of supported software. Computer Laboratory, Law ChambersLocation: Monash University Law Chambers, 472 Bourke Street, Melbourne This laboratory contains 18 Pentium 4 desktop computers operating Windows XP. Although specifically designed as a formal teaching/training facility the lab may be made available for student use when not booked. The lab is also equipped with a networked printer, data projector, DVD player, VCR player and audio amplifier. The lab is available for classes and for hire within Monash and to the general public. Study Mezzanine, Law ChambersLocation: Monash University Law Chambers, 472 Bourke Street, Melbourne The Study Mezzanine is available for student use while the Law Chambers are open.
