Course fees

Limited Commonwealth Supported Places (CSP) (formerly referred to as HECS places) and full-fee places are available in the PDLP.

Commonwealth Supported Places (formerly HECS places)

Some students will be awarded a Commonwealth Supported Place (CSP) in the PDLP.

A CSP is a higher education place for which the Commonwealth Government makes a contribution towards the cost of your education. The Student Contribution Amount (SCA) that is payable in 2008 for full-time PDLP students (the equivalent of 1 EFTSL/48 credit points) is:

• $8,499 (eligible students can fully defer this amount or a portion of this amount to the Australian Taxation Office), or
• $6,799.20 (includes the 20% discount eligible students receive for payments over $500 if their SCA is paid upfront to Monash University).

Note: Student Contribution Amounts will increase each year.

Full-fee places

In 2008, the cost to complete the PDLP will be $11,600 for a full-fee place. Eligible students may apply for a FEE-HELP loan (formerly known as PELS) from the Government.
