HDR Advisory Panel for Empirical ResearchLaw HDR students whose thesis involves humans, i.e. interview, questionnaire or survey, must obtain approval from the Monash University Standing Committee on Ethics in Research Involving Humans (SCERH) prior to the commencement of your research. Guidelines, application form and submission dates of application are available from the University Research Office - Human Ethics website. The Faculty has established an advisory panel to assist HDR students undertaking empirical research. Members of this advisory panel have experience as a member of the SCERH. All applications for ethics approval must be given to a member of the faculty HDR Advisory Panel for comment and advice prior to its submission to SCERH. It is necessary to give lead time of at least two weeks before the submission date of your ethics application. Students are therefore requested to include this time scale when you prepare your human ethics application. The panel members are also available to assist HDR students and their supervisors in the initial stages of the design of their empirical research. Members of the advisory panel are: |
