The  Monash Bachelor of Laws and associated double degrees  provide you with the highest standard of legal education and training. Your Monash Law degree will be a valuable commodity, providing a springboard for a wide range of careers in legal practice and many other career pathways. As a law student at Monash you will have the opportunity to study a semester at the Monash campus in Prato near Florence in Italy, undertake international internships or obtain practical legal training in our two community legal centres, where you can work with real clients and real cases.

Admission to the Bachelor of Laws is based on ENTER score, prerequisites, middle-band and any consideration of disadvantage (or equivalent international qualification). As a guide you should aim for an ENTER of around 99.00 for a CSP place or 94.00 for a full-fee place in Law and any associated double degrees at Monash. 

If you don't meet these requirements initially, don't panic! You could still do Law at Monash.

Internal transfers into Law

Internal transfers provide another opportunity to study Law at Monash. If you are a current student and performing well in your degree, you may be able to transfer into the first year of law. Around 30% of students (approximately 150 in 2007) enter law through internal transfers each year. Most students continue their studies in a double degree (eg. Science/Law), which may still be completed in the minimum time.

This is an achievable alternative if you who don't meet the entry requirements for law first time round.

External transfer into law at Monash from another university

Students at other universities in Australia may be eligible to transfer into law at Monash. You can then enter a single or double degree with law and may be eligible to receive credit for previous study. You may also still be able to complete your degree in the minimum time.
